Wedding Venues will be filling up fast for 2021 & 2022  simply because of the huge back log in cancelled 2020 weddings.  Finding a venue the ticks all the boxes will be harder than before and securing a date that suits all parties also made a tad more difficult.

Studio work was mainly taken at Melvin Sillcock Photography.  Melvin runs a top family and  baby studio in Sittingbourne. The studio has a specialize newborn baby photographer, Michelle . Babies need to be 14 days or under for that.  I tend to photograph the Fairy & Elf sessions, dog days as well as cherub sittings.

What a lovely venue, Ruth & Steve  chose well.   The Blue Pigeons,Worth, is a charming wedding venue with a lovely relaxed feel.  This is exactly want our couple wanted for their wedding.   So on this beautiful day, Steve and Ruth’s nearest and dearest gathered to celebrate their big day.  Usually it is the bride preparations I photograph but being in one venue for the whole celebration means I get a chance to capture the groom getting ready too, I love that!  I really enjoy photographing the small details that the couple have painstakingly chosen– button holes, table decorations and on this day, the grooms yellow socks!  A very relaxed day for this small, intimate wedding.  I supplied a USB of images  ready to view and print from.

It was a real privilege to be asked to photograph Julia & Nick’s St Peter & St Paul church wedding. The couple have been together over a decade and have four lovely daughters who were so excited to be flower girls.  Saying the bridal preparations were busy is an understatement.   Julia was joined by her four sisters, as well as numerous nephews & nieces, helping to get her and her daughters ready.    I joined them a couple of hours before the ceremony.   Off to Ospringe Church where I joined groom Nick and best man Andrew.   Julia’s pregnant best friend, Carla, only just made the service as she was a week overdue!  After the service we did family group photographs then after the confetti the guests went on to the Alexander Centre in Faversham.  This gave me time to concentrate on photographing the couple as husband and wife in the charming church grounds.   On arrival at the reception venue I took time to photograph the room, tables and small details as the couple mingled with their guests.    After a quick drink, I photographed the couple appreciating the lovely features of the old building.   Coverage from LS Images included speeches, cake cutting and the couples first dance.   I supplied on a disc ready to view and print from.

The annual dog show is being held by Gladwells Pet & Country store in Faversham with yours truly attending as photographer to lots of lovely pooches.

Please come along to this dog friendly store on Saturday 12th May, 9-30 till 4 ,to have your beautiful dog photographed . Free entry plus a free dog goodie bag. The store is located on  Graveney Road, Faversham, ME13 8UR. No appointment necessary.

Gladwells Pet & Country store, Pet Competition photographer by LS Images

What a wonderful bunch of fluffy, bright eyed dogs that attended Gladwells Faversham dog competition, 2017.

Ran by the lovely people at Gladwells pet & Country store, it’s a chance for owners  to have their dogs photographed.  This is one of my favourite jobs photography wise.

This year Spaniels were the highest represented breed with collies and Yorkie’s just behind.

We had a mum with two sons and her daughter, a couple of grand old ladies as well a an 8 week old pup called Jazz.

Name wise– from TV, Sansa, Yoda, Merlin and Storm.

Food– Noodles, Peanut, Butter and Honey.

Perfume too with Coco.

Many of the dogs who visited haven’t enjoyed a good start in life but now they are reaping the benefits of a caring home. A prime example is Lola, a miniature Yorkie, who , when out and about, is most happy and secure in her own handbag.

Galdwells dog show with LS Images

Some new friends were made Saturday as another successful dog portrait day was held at Galdwells P&C store, Faversham.

Thank  you to the humans who brought their pets in by to join the fun.

Most popular breed this year was Labrador with 6, one being a handsome ‘flat coat’ named Harvey and 3 in the same family, grandma, mum, and daughter.The biggest entry a Great Dane, the smallest a Chihuahua plus all sizes in between.  Pedigrees, x breeds, pups & faithful old friends as well some lucky enough to have a second chance in life, such a Missy from Romania.   A first for us was Lucy, a Chinese crested dog. Royalty, fashion and music were represented with Camellia, Twiggy and Bowie.

We also had a dog called Brian!

See you all again on Saturday when you get to choose which image you want put forward for judging.

Usually Herne Bay photographer Lesley meets the bride & groom at the venue before their wedding day, in order to get a feel for the place as well as checking the light, finding good areas for photography as well as another chance for the couple to meet their photographer before their wedding.
