LS Images is looking forward to the up & coming wedding season and feeling very excited about revisiting some lovely venues as well as some new.  A site that hasn’t been visited before usually  means that I like to visit said venue, in this case The Ferry House Inn, Harty, on the Isle Of Sheppey, either by myself or to meet the bride & groom beforehand.  I met my bride & groom to be at this lovely Kent venue in December were we wondered the grounds enjoying the wonderful views over the Swale. A Warm day without too much wind would suit me just fine but alas, there are some things that just cannot be arranged but as a professional wedding photographer you do at east have a ‘Plan B’ in case the weather doesn’t play it’s part.

 Looking at were the service and meal take place are important but the main thing for me is finding the best areas for photographing the family groups and couple.  Of course I am looking for nice backgrounds, beautiful trees, character walls, interesting pathways and such but checking the light is equally important.  I am not going to set a group up in front of even the most beautiful background if it means having full sun in your face.  Everyone squinting, looking hot n bothered never mind the wedding dress being burned out by the sunlight, no thank you!  This is time well spent. If I am meeting the bride and groom to be there, it is another chance to meet, sharing thoughts about their day and getting to know each other. It always helps on the wedding day.
